The Association for the Advancement of Okhotsk in the 21st Century (OK 21) is a regional think tank whose mission is to envision and bring about the future of Okhotsk. Established in 1987, its members comprise the top executives of major corporations in Okhotsk who contribute their time and expertise to economic development and growth in the new millennium through leveraging of the unique opportunities afforded by the people and environment of Okhotsk.
OK 21 is currently organized into four committees
- The Regional Strategies Development Committee,
- The IT Promotional Committee,
- The New Business Promotion Committee,
- The Okhotsk Lifestyle Committee.
Activities include projects and programs aimed at fulfilling the association’s goals, specifically:
Development of proposals for regional economic stimulation and growth projects
Organization of promotional events
Compilation and distribution of information through publications, videos, and other materials
Assistance to other projects that will help achieve its goals.
