To be considered Okhotsk Abashiri Beef it must
be produced in Abashiri city or the surrounding areas and the
quality of meat must be higher than third grade. Today, farmers
feed safe byproducts of local processed potatoes or Japanese
rice bran so as to improve the quality of meat in cooperation
with people from the university. |
(Shiretoko Beef)

This is a brand of Japanese black beef from Shiretoko
beef productive cooperatives (Ohashi Stock Farm) in Abashiri,
Hokkaido. They use rice straw from Hokkaido and feed cattle
an original fodder mixture of salt and Kishu plum residue. They
don't use agricultural chemicals within their stock farms. Meat
with a grade of A3 to A5 is named Shiretoko Beef. |
(Kitami Japanese Beef)

Farm in Kitami. They breed, raise, fatten, and sell Japanese
black beef. This beef was trademarked as Kitami Japanese Beef
in 2008. |

The Ryuhyo Farm Group, in Tsubetsu town, produces
this beef at five stock farms. Almost all products are shipped
to the Tokyo area. |
(Bihoro Beef)

This is Japanese black beef that is locally fattened.
Only female cattle that are strictly selected by the Tamura
Butcher Shop can be considered Bihoro Beef. Also, they use unified
fodder so as to make the meat's quality consistent. |
(Okhotsk Hamanasu Beef)

This is Holstein, produced in Monbetsu city and
Takinoue town. Only eight farms can produce this beef. Farmers
established Clione Beef Club in the thirteenth year of Heisei
(2001). They produce from first to last, and their annual shipment
is about 4000 cattle. |
